The carrot, this vegetable that my mother forced me to eat when I was little….
The carrot, this vegetable that I found displayed on the label of many so-called moisturizing and clarifying products…
The carrot, this vegetable that rejuvenates the skin...
In short, the carrot is talked about both nutritionally and cosmetically.
Carrots Nutrition
It is obvious that the carrot has virtues for the beauty of the body. Now you just have to understand how to take advantage of it. I say this because the ignorant that I was, smeared my face (every day) sometimes with natural carrot juice, sometimes with carrot oil, and sometimes with carrot lotion to restore the radiance of its dyed. Since all the beauty products boasted the effectiveness of carrots, I had thought that it was enough to just apply carrot oil or natural carrot juice on the body to have the desired effect.
And of course I was wrong! I tanned my face nicely. And I finally understood that in fact I was using the carrot badly for my beauty treatments.
So here it is, today I understood a lot of things about the use of carrots and I share them with you so that you avoid my mistakes.
The carrot bears vitamins and minerals that the body requires for its fitness but also its beauty. It has healing, softening and purifying properties. It is also effective in softening and regenerating all skin types.
Carrots are rich in:
Beta carotene (carotene is a provitamin that can be converted into vitamin A by the human body)
Vitamin A,
vitamin B
vitamin C,
Vitamin E.
Carotene protects the skin against the sun's rays.
Vitamin A is an essential vitamin for the health of hair, nails and skin, among other things. Lack of vitamin A often results in dry skin.
Vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B9 are the B vitamins essential for the beauty of the skin.
Vitamin C refines skin texture, gives radiance to the complexion and prevents premature aging of the skin.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing vitamin. It protects the body from pollution and also from the sun's rays.
To benefit from the virtues of the carrot, you can use its flesh, its juice, its pulp or its oil.
Carrot Flesh
To use the carrot flesh, cut it into small dice that you will preferably steam so as not to lose all the vitamins (the cooked carrot is less rich in vitamins than the raw carrot). Once cooked, mash it. This puree will be used to concoct a mask.
You can add chopped parsley or lemon juice to it. Apply it on the face for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water. Good-looking effect and radiant complexion guaranteed. The frequency of the mask is 2 times at most in the week. You will appreciate the results after a month.
Carrot Juice
You can use carrot juice in the form of a lotion for your care. Blend the carrot and strain it to collect the juice. Then add hot water for an amount equivalent to that of the juice obtained. Mix then leave to cool. Your lotion is ready to use. You can store it in the fridge for an average of a week. As for its use, just apply it in the morning or evening (according to your convenience) and leave on for 10 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water.
Carrot Pulp
The pulp of the carrot can also be used, once you have extracted the juice. Simply apply it directly to the skin, of course avoiding the eye area. Leave on for ten minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.
Carrot Mask
You can also mix your carrot pulp with a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of flour. Apply the pasty mixture on your face and rinse after 10 min.
Carrot Oil
There is no pure carrot oil like coconut oil or olive oil. Carrot oil is obtained by macerating carrots, previously grated and then dried, in a vegetable oil such as sunflower oil, sesame oil or grapeseed oil.
Carrot oil prepares the skin for tanning but it does not replace sunscreen. It is also a natural self-tanner. So if you have black skin, do not use carrot oil during the day so as not to tan even more.
Easy Home Remedy For Skin Whitening
You can concoct a mask based on carrot oil to naturally illuminate your complexion. You should simply blend one:
teaspoon of carrot oil,
teaspoon of honey,
teaspoon of yogurt.
Apply and leave on for fifteen minutes then, flush with tepid water.
Here are the different uses you can make of carrots for your organic care. Don't make the same mistake I did. The mask is to be done twice a week. And if you have black skin, preferably use the oil or lotion in the evening, to keep your complexion radiant.
